We are not in San Antonio. We are on the East End of Roatan on a small island, Cay, right directly on one of the most beautiful reefs in the world.

Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
The Reef HouseResort started as a Fishing resort in the 60's. Over the years as it changed hands it became more of a Diving Resort and while we still do both, Diving is certainly our focus and the majority of our customer base. Peggy, the current owner has owned it for about eight years.
What is your primary product or service?
Dive! Dive!! Dive!!! The 3 boat dives a day on this pristine stretch of Reef with our Dive Master, Davitt, an islander who has been showing folks this reef for 20 years, is the reason our guests come back again and again.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The uniqueness of this spot is what really interested all of us.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are a very small dive resort. Eleven rooms. Fifteen fit on the Henry Morgan and mostly it goes out with more like 6-8 guests. We have a bar, an ocean pool for training and just relaxing, and we are secluded on a little cay, island, about a three minute boat ride from the main island of Roatan. This allows couples or groups to relax, be their selves, unwind away from the world.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Just this one. Its really the perfect spot for a serious dive resort and while we have plans to refurb. portions of the existing property, we have no plans to expand to two places.
Provide detailed directions to your location
From anywhere on the island of Roatan, you can take a taxi to "Oakridge"Its a small town on the south side of the eastern portion of the island. From there you can take a Water Taxi to "Reef House." Certainly if we know you are coming we will be glad to arrange transportation from the Airport or wherever else you might be and then come pick you up in a boat ourselves.
What type of payments do you accept?
Cash, Lempira or non-marked and non-torn US Dollars.
Credit Card.
Which areas do you service?
We have guests come from the world over.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Davie Byrne, the owners son, and his fiancé Dilcia run the day to day operations.
What are your hours of operation?
Assuming we have guests for the week, the vast majority of the time, we have people on staff all day and night. Breakfast is around 8, first dives at 9, lunch at 1, last dive at 2:30 and back for drinks until dinner time, 6pm. The bar stays open till the guests are done :P.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
"Best Vacation Ever." Those are the ones we love to hear. Got to hear it the other day again. Always makes us happy.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
"Dive! Dive!! Dive!!!" -DM Davitt, 3 times a day.
