How long have you been in business?
I've been in business since 2012, but sewing since I was nine and sewing bears since I was 12.
What is your primary product or service?
Hand-crafted, custom made Memory Bears and Teddy Bears.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My Grandmother first taught me to sew, embroider and tat lace. By the time I was 12, I was making clothing to wear, stuffed animals and anything else that I could dream up.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
There are not too many people who make Memory Bears, but I think that I take the ultimate care and interest in the person to whom this bear is honoring. I ask to know a little about the person who has passed and even get a photo so I can know exactly who this person was. I have made bears for all my siblings, nieces, nephews and Aunts with my Mother's clothing and know personally how touching and important these bears are to the receivers. I have made in excess of 30 bears for special families.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
It's just me doing all the work and I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it as well as I do.
What type of payments do you accept?
Cash, check and credit.
Which areas do you service?
Nation-wide. Potentially overseas if the shipping isn't cost prohibitive.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I own it and run all the daily operations.
What are your hours of operation?
10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. I answer my phone 24/7, or answer messages within a few hours.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That they are so blessed by what I have made for them and that it means a lot to them.
